| Information about Laszlo Papp's participation in this event: |
| Due to the massive hyperinflation and unstable political and economic situation in Hungary, young Papp and a friend briefly fled to Bratislava. For a time, he trained there and represented Czechoslovakia. |
| Shortly after this competition, at the request of his mother, who informed him of the stabilization of the financial situation (the introduction of the forint) in Hungary, Papp decided to return to his homeland, where he continued his distinguished career. |
