15.Asian (Invitational) Championships

The 15.Asian Championships were scheduled to start in Philippines when a volcano erupted just 60 miles away from Manila forcing the Organisers to call aoff the event.
The Amateur Boxing Association od Thailand decided to invite the ten top boxing nations for an Invitational Meet, around the same date.
